Dota 2 championship in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
For those who do not know what “DotA” is, it makes no sense to explain any details, it will be better and calmer for everyone. In a game where “crayfish”, “mid”, “bottoms” and “love for moms” are the key to success-there is no place for everything else. And when the races in the DotA turns into a cyber-sports discipline-it is better for an unprepared person to run out at all.
So, in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, not the first, but the largest DotA championship took place — with qualifying games, spectators, commentators, prize Fund and even cosplayers.
In a nutshell: our mid!
All this took place in the shopping center “Royal” (on Emelyanov) on the basis of the computer club “Success” and food court.
The qualifiers began around four in the afternoon, the championship itself was scheduled for ten, and I came for the first time around eight (here and then the numbers and time will be approximate — because neither of those and for that I did not follow).
On the street were hanging out participants teams, any there fans (mistakenly came before time), and all disaffected rolled up in asphalt.
Unfortunately the entire championship was accompanied by various technical problems, which in the course of action were eliminated by the organizers. The latter should be given credit, because despite all the difficulties, they rushed with their tongues hanging out and tried to solve the problems (and not like some-threw everything and left).
Those from whom everything worked normally-played DotA.
And those, whom on age was still sooner play in it play-played in parkour.
From incredible tension and violent heat — the conditioner flowed.
The membership fee for participation from the team was 1,500 rubles (300 rubles per player), the entrance ticket costs 150. The championship was attended by 20 + teams and almost 350 spectators (judging by the numbers on the tickets). For the same rooms during the breaks between matches gave the prize drawing, from figures Predator to tickets for a concert of Noise MC.

Actually, since there was nothing interesting at the qualifying games, I went home and returned at ten in the evening (the championship, by the way, had to take place all night).
When I got there, there was a DJ on the food court.
A projector was installed.
And schoolchildren were forced to carry sofas.
There were two large TVs and one screen, which was enough.
On emotional outburst during strict face-control, all from whom not was 150 rubles brutally not were allowed in inward.
In my opinion, a lot of people gathered and it was very cool.
And even cooler was the fact that the Burger on the food court also worked all night (sorry, but my favorite cheese sticks, I did not eat that day).
By the way, the first thing that made the owners of catering-taped one of the refrigerators standing in the hall. No, well, what?
Also at the beginning of the ride girls cosplays. According to the idea, they were dressed up as two characters from the game.
Poor girls, both of them just weren’t laughing that night.
But fototysa with them, too, is not forgotten.

But secret cosplay was in is, that look need was not on unfortunate makeup and “nice suits”, and on themselves girls.
If everything is done correctly, the person would have had the same happy as Kirsanov.
And about the “fire” on the legs, we agreed that it’s just crayfish crabs.
The beginning was a little delayed and the audience played in a bottle.
By the way, about bottles. You know what they did with that trash a minute after I took a picture of it? Right! Came the main organizer with black bag — and he took care of it. Such a good fellow.

The street was crowded, too, and people were always going to and fro.

In General, I like a man last time who played DotA when it was still a map for the third Warcraft, the event very much.
First, as I said — the organizers are great fellows, I hope that this is not the last event of this kind and that all the mistakes of this time will be taken into account.
Secondly, it was incredibly cool to see the reaction of the audience, which naturally howled when one of the teams successfully played one of the combinations.
Third, it was just fun. I don’t know, but I guess that’s what they call a “friendly atmosphere.” The audience discussed tactics, swore at the players when they incorrectly selected characters for the match and just talked to each other.
